I think the CPS has a vibrant and vital
role in Key West, and has maintained its presence in the face of
considerable challenges over the many years from its inception to its
current status as a mecca for tourists and a market for local artists in
their efforts to prosper and be self-supportive, due to the perseverance,
vision and commitment, from its members and support from the City. The CPS
represents an economic engine for the members and the larger neighborhood
community and is deserving of efforts to strengthen this bond that can
cultivate greater awareness of CPS and its resources and talents. I would welcome fostering partnerships
throughout the community, in business, the schools, and through foundation
and grant opportunities.
I think the role of the Board is to support the mission of its members, the artists and entrepreneurs who constitute the CPS. I would like to contribute to their endeavors and success by learning what the priorities are and collaborate with the larger community to achieve the common goals that will benefit CPS.
