Board of Directors meeting

Members present. Anne, Raymond, Jan, Mike, Ed, Will, Roy
Also present. John Gilson, Henreitta, Holly, Louie, Pat Lloyd, Pearl, Ginger

meeting called to order at 2;40pm

The minutes of the last meeting were approved.
No treasures report at this time.

Pier mangers report given by John. Spoke with coconut Dave about his need for
a mat and to control the amount of mess hes making. Also spoke with Dave
about the people hes got hanging around his set up spot. John spoke about the
need for lites and signs at the keyhouse. Spoke about Mike Martin seeming to
chase people around the pier with his guitar. John said that he had
restricted Mark [unicycle] to the pier area for 3 days due to his show
running long after being warned about it. Anne mentions to John about the
popcorn and all food and drink vendors needing carpets in front of their
carts. John said that he will mention this at sign up. report accepted

PC report given by Holly. Notes of meeting included with this report. Holly
mentions that allcomplaints about vendors booth size should be brought to the
attention of the pier manager. The PC requests that all complaint be
submitted in writing to the PC. Holly mentions Henriattas complaint about
ther product being turned down. Holly suggests that the product be rejuried
for the new PC, all said ok. This will give the PC a chance tocompare product
to Gingers. Henrietta reads letter to Board asking for the PC to be over
turned. Ray tells Henrietta that if the Board votestoday what ever the
decision it will be binding. Ginger says that over the years we did not allow
duplication of food products. Ginger offers a compromise telling Henrietta
that she can sellher doughnuts the months that Ginger is away. Willasks can
the board sample the products. Henrietta says that the previous PC had asked
her to come tothe pier. Roy motions for this concern to be addressed back to
the PC for rejury, Raymond seconds. Motion passes. PC report accepted

Will Soto gives performers report. Will states the performers concern of
lottery bucket status, gives quick overview of how status is achieved.
Stillworking with pier manager to establish timeat the pier. Spoke about Mark
trying to improve his image, also about where to place Mark on the pier due
to the size of his crowd. Jan mentions letter tothe city about Gazzo, we
decided that we willwait for the news paper article to come out first. paper
due this Friday. Will motions for the CPS city liaison to meet with the city,
motion approved. John and Will have decided that they will speak with Gazzo.
Will mentions that in the late 70's the founder of Circus de sole used to be
a fire eater at Sunset. Willand Mark Howell from Paradise willbe in Miami to
interview for news paper article. Spoke about the rack cards, will try to
sell sponsorship to pay for costs involved. Mike monions to accept performers
report, montion passes.

Old business. Myra approved installing flag poles and sign boards.
Ben Harrision going to court tomorrow on an old on going law suit against
Sunset, board approves of Ben Harrison representing us. Jan mentions that
were still looking into t shirt and ball cap to sell on web page.
Anne mentions that conch republic days coming up willget more info.
Motion to adjourn at 3:28pm approved.
