This meeting was called at 11:30 at Big John’s Pizza. We felt the need to call this meeting in order to discuss the sales tax issue and behavior patterns of Wink and Barbara Winko.

Sabrina presents a letter written to the Winko’s regarding the two issues of the sales tax and threatening behavior. Joyce suggests dividing the letter in to separate letters since we are dealing with two separate issues. Isaac reminds us that the issue of the sales tax is a separate issue than the threats that were made.

Sabrina states that if they had just complied with the request made by the Board to get separate sales tax certificates in their three individual businesses that this issue would have been over. Instead they went to Jan and threatened to make her life miserable if she didn’t see things their way. Then Wink had to hide in the bushes in the dark and take a picture of Isaac leaving the event. This just so happened to be on the same night Barbara was suspended due to her altercation with me Sabrina. The Winko’s do not have the best interest of the event in mind. Sabrina also reminds all that Wink said “there was a lease coming up and he was going to make sure it didn’t happen.” He said that at the time Barbara was yelling at her on the pier.

OJ Dave states that we really don’t want another lawsuit and we should just ignore them. We asked Dave if this behavior is suitable for the pier and he said no.

The two letters were drafted at this meeting and will be reviewed by the Board Members tonight, at the pier before they are distributed to the Winko’s.

Anne was reminded that she would have to give the letters to Wink and Barbara because she is pier manager tonight. She asked, “What am I going to do? They are going to be mad at me.” Jan assured her she would be all right.
