Part of the problem is the daily attendance record sheets that the pier managers and OJ will be working on. PC report: The PC report was given by Barbara. A request was tendered by the committee for the board to restrict the number of performer spaces. A motion was made by Wink and seconded by Kristie to approve the PC report with the exception of the request. The motion passed. The request by PC regarding performer spaces was addressed earlier in the year by this board and the performer committee. No action was taken. New Pier manager: Wink advised that the new pier manager (Amelie) had resigned due to health issues. She had passed out at one of her other jobs and was advised by her physician to slow down to prevent stress related problems. She thanked the organization for being allowed to work. Performer assault on tourist: Kinnata has been suspended by the pier manager from working and is currently in jail. The pier managers were advised to have him appear before the board before any consideration of him coming back to work. The Board wanted to suspend or expel him permanently. A policy of allowing the offender to present his/her defense prior to any action should be followed as this was adopted by past Boards. The General Membership can address his expulsion. A motion was made by Don and seconded by wink that we follow the procedure. The motion passed. At 11:28AM, Wink made a motion to adjourn. Kristie seconded and the motion passed. |
