No old business came before the Board.
The first item under new business was the appointment of a new person to cover the resignation given by Wink. The Board members discussed the issue and voted to not accept the resignation. The motion was made by Don and seconded by Kristie.
Ray Ralston had requested Board permission to paint the kiosk at his expense. A discussion was conducted with the Board not taking any action to give approval.
Steve Kurstin has offered the domain rights for “Sunsetcelebration.com” at a price of $500.00. The Board directed Susan to check on the actual ownership and advise the Board of her findings for further consideration.
Susan provided the Board with information that Frank (donut vendor) was advertising his cart and a spot on Mallory Square in the newspaper. The Board directed Wink to contact Eric Dadd for issuance of correspondence to Frank advising to cease his false advertising. Due to the fact that he has provided information that his cart is actually a franchise, Wink was also advised to get the opinion as to the feasibility of removing him from the pier as the initial information is in conflict with our SOP. (The attorney was contacted and will be back in Key West on 26Oct10). A meeting will be scheduled as soon as possible.
Joe Walsh attended the meeting to advise the Board of his plans regarding the new restaurant. He will attend the November 3, 2010 meeting and give a visual presentation.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:41AM
