Participation Committee: 1) Jeffrey Kaplan juried in his phone photography that was displayed in embellished mats. He also expressed the desire to use not only wooden frames (handmade) but also frames made from recycled aluminum. Tabled. A count is needed to see how many photographers are on the pier. 2) Trish Pleasant also juried in for photography. Her photography is mostly underwater and nautically related. Tabled. A count is needed to see how many photographers are on the pier. 3) Melanie Marsh was approved for her basket bags/convertible totes. Which she sews from tarp material and terry cloth. As you may know she was already approved for her bike seat covers. She was also approved for small clutch handbags. 4) Daniella Parch-Raymond and Johanna Haddardottin were disapproved for heir feather hair extension because they are simply purchased feathers and beads and affixed to the hair and no creativity was displayed at all, in our opinion and based on others that have juried in for a similar product. Lastly we had some discussion on the PC group unity and have hopefully agreeably sorted out any and all differences and agree that it is okay to disagree. Additionally I would like to bring to the table at the board meeting some discussion on this “cap” dilemma and some open discussion on perhaps some amendment to make it workable for those of us on the pier willing to grow creatively and economically. Jeffrey Kaplan. Motion to accept report by Christine and 2nd by Susan.
