Pier Managers Report: As we all know it’s been a frustrating couple of weeks, marked by bad weather, interruptions from the city and less than thriving crowds. I guess not entirely unusual. The lull after Christmas. There have been no outstandingly notable troubles to log, however. Aside from predictable dissatisfactions, performers have been getting pretty much along. Highlights from the log include Reid falling and injuring his knee last week, an accident with no concurrent liabilities; a tornado touching down on the plaza Monday night, doing some damage to a few vendors tables but fortunately not injuring anyone. I have noted and logged that there are a couple of more dead power outlets. And no replacement for the conch Republic flag, though I have left messages with Jim Weekly. Public restrooms were somewhat presentable.
A few performers have advanced in seniority in the last week. Mostly up form newcomers to Snowbirds, but we have a new grandfather Roy the One Man band. It needs to be noted that we now have three one man bands. A steady increase in musicians which makes placement of acts on some nights a real challenge. Motion to accept Don 2nd by Will
