  3. Participation Committee Report:

Meeting on March 21, 2011. Members in attendance: Eddy, Ron, Melanie, Dragana, and Harriette. Two new applicants and 1 returning applicant.

  1. Gainey Maxwell and Linda Helm approved for their painted coconut carvings. He plans on painting some of his artwork at sunset. Paid prior fee.

  2. Rob Colton approved for his coral rock mushroom artwork. Paid $20.00 jury fee.

  3. Doug Desjardins not approved for his paintings on various items he finds. Paid $20.00 jury fee. Motion to approve by Will, 2nd by Danielle.

  1. Pier Managers Report: It’s been quiet on the pier. Been keeping the pier full with entertainers but, the same ones want to work in the plaza. We had a couple of nights when we didn’t have enough entertainers to fill the pier. The amp spot by the theater. The entertainers have been told they have to stop playing by 7:55 pm. Last night someone unplugged the extension cord and cut it. A suggestion is to stop playing at that time or move the amp spot when the theater is open. Burt is in the process of talking to Robert Allen. Isaac has come back to work. He is making up 29 days in Snowbird in waiting can since he didn’t keep up his membership. Annie. Motion to approve by Lee Anne, 2nd by Will.

  2. Performers Committee: No Report.

  3. Old Business:

  1. Conch Republic Street Fair: Applications are coming in slowly. Performers spot will be available on Fitzpatrick St. Was asked to leave spot opened in front of Capt. Tony’s were the fish is so people can toss coins. Motion to approve Lee Anne, 2nd by Will.

  2. Foolsfest Report: Posters done and put up. Donations from business and participants on the pier are coming in. Coconut toss and games being done. All going well. Will Soto. Motion to approve Lee Anne, 2nd by Elise.

  3. Swim Around Key West annual event. Motion to donate $500.00 for event by Lee Anne, 2nd by Don all approved. Motion to adjourn by Don, 2nd by Lee Anne.
