Proposed Board Meeting Minutes for May 23, 2012

Board Meeting called to order 10:02 am

In attendance: Don, Doug, Rebecca, Mike and Elise

Add correspondence requests from Key West High School Band. Doug made a motion to put the Key West High School marching band on the stage on May 23^rd. Mike 2^nd, motion passed. LeeAnne made a motion to accept minutes, Rebecca 2^nd, motion passed. LeeAnne made a motion to accept agenda, Rebecca 2^nd, motion passed.

I. Secretary’s Report

A. LeeAnne made a motion to accept Secretary’s Report, Rebecca 2^nd, motion passed.

II. Treasurer’s Report

A. Mike made a motion to accept Treasurer’s Report. LeeAnne 2^nd, motion passed.

III. Pier Manager’s Report

A. LeeAnne made a motion to accept the Pier Manager’s Report. Doug 2^nd, motion passed.

B. Elise was designated as the Board liaison to the Pier Managers for the month of June.

C. There was discussion that Pier Managers need to have the security guards walk the pier more often.

IV. Participation Committee Report

A. Doug made a motion to accept PC report, Rebecca 2^nd, motion passed.

B. There was discussion about reminding PC members to attend meetings so we make sure we have a quorum.

C. Doug made a motion to open all the benches to artist set up. Rebecca 2^nd, motion passed.

V. Performer’s Committee Report

A. There was no meeting and no report given.

VI. Old Business

A. Fantasy Fest Float – Doug made a motion to have Rebecca organize a committee and investigate insurance requirements. LeeAnne 2^nd, motion passed.

B. Fact finding committee – no updates

VII. New Business

A. Swim Around Key West – LeeAnne made a motion to donate $100. Mike 2^nd, Doug abstained, motion passed.

LeeAnne made a motion to adjourn meeting, Doug 2^nd at 11:05 am, all agreed, motion passed.
