P.C. Minutes 1/17/05

Attendance: Susan Schaal, Ryan Stimers. Isaias Mendoza, Joel Ouellete, Susanne Van Hulst

 

Before the jury process P.C. Elected Susan Schaal as accountant and Ryan Stimers as secretary.

 

The P.C. juried five people and tuned away one person.  The person was tuned away because they wished to do digital art (digital photography printed on postcards). Of the people jurried, the PC disapproved three people and approved two. They reviewed one jury-by-mail application.

 

Patricia & David Kidwell: re-juried for painted metal airplanes with figurines and decoration attached; disapproved

 

Julie McDowel: Sewn Hand bags & belts: Approved pending home jury. Paid $20

 

Greg & Kelly Umphreys: Gel-Candles: Disapproved paid $20

 

Peter Becker: Hand painted and sealed sand castings: Approved paid $20

 

Monica Gotz & Geri La Gotta: Hand Made Almond Roca, Brownies, and ginger cookies. Approved pending an investigation into if the product conflicts with existing products sold at Mallory. Paid $20

 

Mail in’s

 

Mr & Mrs Franshires paintings and painted birdhouses were judged “seemingly appropriate to our event” Paid $5

 

Plans for future action:

 

Because of inquires, by potential food vendors, concerning nut sales at Mallory. Joel and Ryan are to ask Wendal Winko what is his situation with the sale of nuts business.

 

David Del Rosso is to be asked to make the following alteration to the site.

*   Mention that the jury fee is either 1) $5 mail in plus $15 on the jury day or 2) $20 on the jury day

*   Mention the ban on digital art

 

Ryan is to ask the board to comment on his letter on what is capped.
