  1. Katherine Garrett came to meeting to find out what she had to do to return to the pier. She set up a number of years ago and wants to come. We looked at his pictures and advised her to just come back, giving the pier manager her release form and copy of her tax ID number.
  2. JoAnn Hasman came to the meeting to discuss the letter PC had sent to her after receiving a complaint about her not making her items. All was discussed and Barb W. and Melanie G. will home jury her on Friday to watch her screen her shirts and put this problem to rest.
  3. Kathie Murphy arrived to how she makes soy candles. She went through each process of her candle making and handed out samples to the PC. She was approved by unanimous votes. She paid $20.00 cash and Ann S. will deposit it in the bank as she is Pier Manager today.

Melanie brought up the subject of the extension cords. She advised the many participants are not securing their cords so they will not be tripped over by the public. P C would like to Board to have the Pier Managers announce each evening to all Participants. We want everyone to be safe.

Meeting adjourned.

P C Minutes

On September 21, 2007 Melanie G. and Barb W. went to Joann Hasmans’ home for an in home jury.

Melanie and Barb viewed all of Joann’s silk screens, which have been well used, hand drawings and sketches of her art work, paints and inks, squeegees and studio.

We observed Joann silk screening her shirts, hanging them to dry before heat setting them. We viewed her invoices for the raw products and took pictures with her camera to verify that she does indeed make her t-shirts by hand.

Based upon the evidence we saw the PC has closed this file and recorded such into the records. There is no evidence to the rumors that have been going around to support the theory that she does not make her items. As far as PC is concerned, she does what is required by our Guidelines and By Laws.
