Discussion:
We understand there was confusion as to whether Andy Parsons has been accepted for glass bottles. He has not. He must returned to PC with a changed product and a vote will be taken then.
We discussed copyrights (not just books). An artist wanted to paint Sponge Bob Squarepants on her coconuts, was told no and that led to general discussion of copyrights and infringement of them. Discussion only – no recommendations.
Still discussing issue of participants who display their work in various sites in town outside of Mallory. Those who do so currently are grandfathered in. In the future, we would request that they have some kind of logo or identification on their products that would be exclusive to Sunset Celebration – that this product is handmade expressly for Mallory Square.
We would like clarification of what non profits can and cannot do on the pier. Can there be a designated spot? Are we comfortable with them soliciting donations?
$80 in jury fees were collected.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 pm.
