5. Brad & Susan Miller: Applied for “Key West Rubbers”. These are custom mixed spices for meat rubs and seasonings. They mix all the spices and do all of the packaging themselves. The PC has put them on hold until we can get some specific answers from the Department of Agriculture. Depending on the answers we get from Ag, we have asked them to package them in sealed bags to prevent contamination. The PC will discuss this after we have all the answers and make a decision at that time. $20.00 fee collected.
6. Szilvia Pivarcsi: Applied for “Chimney Cake”. The PC spoke to her about all the requirements related to food and outlined the way she would be handled by PC. They will return to PC on the 21st of June with a sketch of their cart. At that time we will make the initial decision as to approval or not. If they are approved, they will then begin the licensing procedures. When the license is obtained they will return to PC with their cart and make the product in front of PC. $20.00 fee collected.
7. J. Lee Driskell: Applied for handcrafted jewelry. The PC advised her that jewelry was closed due to over representation. No fee was collected.
The PC has researched the “Murano Glass” issue. We discussed Beth using this type of glass in her jewelry and have determined that it is NOT fused glass. According to our research this glass is made by lamp work artists. Beth may use this glass in her jewelry.
We will be sending Jason Probstein a letter indicating his violations of the SOP’s. All members have read the letter and agreed by unanimous vote to send the document.
$75.00 cash and $5.00 in check was turned into the Pier Manager.
