We had two add a products to jury today. Christine Bivens applied for hand painted t-shirts. She demonstrated her painting and drawing abilities for the PC. Christine was approved by unanimous vote. Sandra Palominos applied for hand painted tiles. She demonstrated her drawing abilities for the PC and she had been juried for painting previously. Sandra was approved by unanimous vote. Both of the above are add a products, therefore no money was collected.

It has been brought to a couple of the PC members attentions that there seems to be a “price war” going on between Elaine and Harriett. Harriett has been complaining to a few of the PC members about Elaine’s pricing of her photos. The PC is going to check to make sure Elaine is still matting her photo’s as required by our SOP’s. The PC would like to ask the Board is anything can be done regarding the “flea market pricing” of these products. The PC feels that this is harmful to Sunset and all of the participants of Sunset. We would like the Board’s opinion and direction if there is anything that can be done to stop this practice.

The PC would also like to ask the Board to instruct the Pier Managers to speak to all of the Performers who do not call their crowds in. Evidently a few of them don’t even try to get the crowds to move close to their lines.
