Participation Committee Meeting
October 18, 2010

We one new participant, one add a product, and had a demonstration from an applicant that juried on 09/20/21010. We also approved a new participant that juried on October 4, 2010. She demonstrated her product to the three PC members that were present at that time. We discussed her at this meeting for approval.
Chris Bertram juried for Cupcakes. She will be home juried tomorrow morning by Ron and Mel at her commissary. She was approved pending the home jury by a unanimous vote. $20.00 check was collected.
Szilvia Pivarcsi juried for an add a product. She wants to make a variety of hot coffees. She was approved by unanimous vote. No fee applicable.
Christina Clapp juried for Hair Wraps and Braids of various kinds. She demonstrated a braid on Barb W. for the committee to see. She originally juried on 09-20-2010 and paid her fee at that time. She was approved by unanimous vote. No fee applicable.
Laurie Matson juried for painted coconuts. She paints on the inside of the coconut and are used as ornaments. She paid her fee at the October 4, 2010 meeting. Laurie was approved by unanimous vote. No fee applicable.
The committee has discussed some SOP changes it would like to have the membership vote on at the next General Membership meeting in December. We are working up the changes and will present them to the Board to be added to the Ballots for that meeting.
We also discussed the new food cart, it is not what we were presented with when they juried. Ed and Leeanne are going to talk to them and find out what they are going to do to make it look like the picture the submitted for approval and also discuss with them the need to stay in their assigned space.
We discussed Aaron Feldspar. A few members want to see his CD’s of his pictures and the new items he was supposed to do representing Key West. Leeanne and Ron will talk to him.
