We had five people show up today.
1. Tim Klutz applied for folk art paintings. He paints on many types of media, small pictures and signs. He was approved by unanimous vote. Paid $20.00 by check.
2. Aaron Feldspar came at the request of the PC. He was asked to bring his camera but did not have it so he will be asked to return to the next meeting. He showed up his new pictures that are Key West related and they were accepted.
3. Holly Branch applied for belt buckles. She buys the blanks and glues on crystals and findings and makes various themes on the belt buckle. She is allowed to attach a belt if the customer wishes. She was advised that she cannot apply for jewelry and that she is not to make anything into jewelry. She was approved by unanimous vote. Paid $20.00 by check.
4. Sherry Sweet-Tewell came to add a product to her current product that she sells at Mallory. She wanted to do T-Shirts. She would paint on them and sign them. The problem was that the T-Shirts were silk screened by someone else with her logo on them. She also wanted to hire someone to sell her products for her. She was denied by unanimous vote. No fee collected.
5. Russell Cranston applied for Tarot Card Reading. Ron A., sat with him and had a reading done. Ron explained that it did not seem to him that Mr. Cranston knew what he was doing and was really just guessing about the customer. He was denied by 4 vote against and Ron A., abstaining. Paid $20.00 fee in cash.
We discussed the decision by the Board regarding Capt. Frank and the way he is advertising the sale of his cart. The Board will have the attorney send him a letter. The PC had discussed this two weeks ago and passed our suggestions on to the Board, which they overrode. Minutes written by Barb W. Ed W. took the money in to be turned in to the Pier Manager and a receipt obtained.
