Six members were present- Eddie, Jeffrey, Ron, Melanie, Dragana and Harriet.

There was only one new applicant at the meeting.

 

 

1.  Susan O'Neil was unanimouisly approved for her original painting on canvas.  She was also

asking to be allowed to sell photos of her work, which we  are disapproving as our feeling is

that the photography category is closed(has reached it's cap)She paints still lifes, landscapes,

Key West buildings, scenes and such. She also displays her work at Island Arts and has a

website at Susanoneilpaintings.com

We feel that she will be a great addition to our group and hope that she will choose to come once wee accept her.

 

 

 

 

We have a new issue/complaint about one of our photographers which I may have in my possession in time for the

 board meeting Wednesday. Otherwise we need to add it to the agenda for the next meeting..

 

Lastly,  there is some concern that of all the artists that we have approved only a handful have set up within the next thirty days, so that effectively those are the only additions because according to the SOP's if the  artist that has been juried in does not set up at Mallory within those first thirty days, they are removed from the roster and must be re-juried and pay the application fee again  to work at the Sunset Celebration. We wonder if this detail needs to be pointed out to prospective jurying applicants
