PC Minutes of 6-6-11
Four members of the participation committee werwe present today; Jeffrey, Eddy, Melanie and Harriet.
We had only one new applicant at this meeting.
Pierre A. Rivera was approved to sell l her crochet work. She makes hats, headbands, scarves as well as some interesting crocheted ornamentals such as oreo cookies, cupcakes, and strawberries. We believe that she will be a good addition to the pier and hope top see her grow with us.
Some other issues were discussed, namely the appearance of the pier and how the food vendor areas need to be cleaned. To our knowledge the only one doing any cleaning is Danny for pretzel Dave, who claims he scrubs the pier every other week or so. It was decided that we would compose a letter to all the food vendors requesting their participation in the cleaning of their areas on a regular basis. Also we would like to know the status of the cleaning machine that was previously purchased with CPS funds, and ask that the board have Elise, the city liaison, to get with the city to get their help in cleaning the pier and keeping it that way.
