Participation Committee Report


 

Committee report for March 4, 2013


 

Members attending: Ron, Hector, Jeffrey, Dennis and Wink

Seven people appeared before the committee this date.

  1. Mary Cote was approved to sell painted and carved floats of her own design. This was an add a product.

  2. Drew Camm demonstrated the gluing of stamps on bottles and wood items. It was a form of decoupage. The items were not approved.

  3. Mike and Lisa Hancox presented their previously carved surfboards which were now painted for consideration. We had rejuried them to make sure they were in concurrence with the SOP’s. The items were approved. PC will need to monitor their products to make sure they are selling only handmade items.

  4. John Graffeo was approved to become a partner with Debra Graffeo in the production of their hand created signs. John was observed working with and helping with the creation of the original signs when Debra originally juried. He will not be producing food in the food category.

  5. Jenny Berube requested to add T-cup and butterfly feeders. After making a set for the committee, she was approved. The items will include her previously wire wrapped spoons

  6. John Anthonie requested to add Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas. He will be making a new cart. He was advised to furnish a copy of his design and given a copy of the SOP’s to help him be in compliance with all rules and regulations. He was given pending approval. He advised he will still sell the Italian ice products off his current cart.

Mayte Almeida demonstrated the carving of a tiki head for the group on February 18, 2013. All agreed it was a product we would consider for the pier. The committee was advised that the Board had approved our recommendation for approval at their meeting held on February 21, 2013.
