Ellen Cantrell/Doug Brandon:
Hand designed jewlry formed in wax and cast in silver or gold.
Stones cut by Doug, settings designed by both.
Demonstrated cutting of stones, working with wax molds, casting, etc.
Reviewed in detail and questions by Ron Augustine.

Phil Sykes, Add on of Silver
Chain bracelets:
Showed and explained how he makes the
silver chain bracelets, soldering and use of “draw box”.
Using puzzle clasps and monkey fist clasps that he makes.
Did not make on site. Ryan
and Ron Augustine will home jury on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Casper McConnell, Beer
Koozies made from lobster bouys: Brought
finished works, cut one and painted one on site.
He routes out the bouys to accommodate most long neck bottles and paints
in different themes.

Noelle Intrato:
Slumped bottles turned into curved bowls and dishes with feet,
nightlights.
Much discussion by PC on this
returning applicant. Last meeting,
PC voted no to just slumped bottles hung with wire.
This time, she brought a different form of the medium.
After lengthy discussion, 2 PC members abstained from vote, 1 voted No.
3 other PC members voted yes.
PC Vote:
Yes, 3 to 1.
Michael Walden, hands and
objects cast on site with gypsum and cement (plaster):
Demonstrated mold making of a hand and the finished product.
Buyer can do the mold and return in approximately 25 minutes to pick up.

Heather Maneth, Tropical sand
art pieces and plaques:
Selling premade products on pier out of sand molds, and making on site
with her portable “sand box” and casting material.
PC Vote:
Yes

Christina Strantz – Energy Healing with Crystals:
Alignment of the chakras via a crystal pendulum.
Reiki Master. Will use a
table that fits into the allotted space.
PC Vote:
4 Yes, 2 No.

Feruz – returning to jury
with 2 types of henna and original art.
Prior to start of demonstration, Linda McCall reminded him the Board had
welcomed him to rejury in the beginning of the year.
He did not understand, and was reminded he had an interpreter present.
PC juried him. He used Jagua
(purple) henna and traditional henna to free draw (without a design to
reference). Direct quote from him
“will not use designs from internet”.
He will ask what they’d like, and he will render it on them with henna.
Straw vote taken. Ryan asked
for a motion for Henna, Hector seconded.
No vote. Much discussion
followed. Failed to pass.
Modify of motion by LeeAnn:
“If he does his own designs and not use a book, or internet designs”.
PC voted to approve.

Isaac Valdez, add on product
of hand carved wood:
Isaac brought a finished piece and chiseled another piece using hand
tools. These will be painted.
